been looking on the local council web site to try an find what lanes are actually open,
BUT cant find any info on them for derbyshire just foot paths,
can any one point me in the right direction PLEASE.

Ordnance survey map? from local whsmith, should show you all local byways?
or, do what i do, aim for em n check little signs on the way in?? just a thought, byway or noway lol

Contact the R.O.W officer at the council and ask to go and see the difinitive map; this will show all current open lanes & T.R.O's

What about lanes that say "access only" - why else would you be going down em unless you wanted to "access" the place you were going - do you need a good reason for the access?
