I have a 2004 TD5 and my local LR specialist has recently replaced the shocks for me. He has fitted some Bearmach Tuffbacks but the ride is now very (too) firm.
I don't know whether it is the combination of the shocks with the 18 inch wheels (pressures 30F and 38R) but the car is no longer a comfortable drive and on bumpy roads it is just hard work.
The garage says the shocks will soften up with time but I am not sure whether they are just fobbing me off.
Before I go back to the garage I wondered whether anyone has any experience of these shock absorbers? Are they suitable for mainly road driving? Is there any adjustment on them? Is there anything I can do to make the ride more acceptable (other than new shocks)?
All help and ideas appreciated
