You, know I thought y'all would understand the premise of this - Yes it is firing orders....and whilst they are the same as other makes, you seem to be straying from the point!! :D:D:D:D

So:

18436572 - Rover V8's for all years

1342 - 200/300Tdi, 2.5TD, 1.8 K series Freebies

15486372 - BMW M62 for the 2002-2005 L322

153624 - M51 (P38) and M57 (L322) Diesel Engines

12453 - TD5

165432 - TDV6 Freebies

Y'all got it right it was firing orders - but I was referencing Land Rover engines - cos this is like, you know, a Land Rover based forum :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

1342 was the firing order of my very first car.... a Vauxhall Victor FB.
So, its....
Rover V8
My old Vauxhall or most straight 4's.
L410 V8
Opel Omega 6 cyl
Straight 5
Rover KV6 engine.

Well, according to Wikipedia ;-)

Again, yes it is firing orders - and many are used across multiple different engine manufacturers - but I was specifically relating to and asking for answers in the 'Land Rover' sphere as this is kind of a bit like a Land Rover forum! :D

Life was oh so much more easy when you had the choice of 1243 or 1342 depending on who made it !
