Hi guys i need some advice my freelander reverse lights are not responding to my actions...i stick it in reverse and cannot see

Now i have metered the reverse switch on the gearbox its also a new switch and i am getting voltage through it, I have also tested the earth and doesn't seem to be that also not the bulb or the bulb holder i have tested these with bridging the fog light connections so its gotta be somewhere between the reverse switch and the bulb whats everyones thoughts on this... if it helps it is the 1.8 petrol

It's got to be a break in the wiring from the switch to the bulb. Must have been rubbing somewhere. I believe the wiring harness runs along the inside of the car down one side following under the inside plastic covers which hold the carpets in place. Have you had any body work done where they have had to lift away the carpets and possibly putting them back have caught the wiring. Could be sometime ago not recent and the wiring has been chaffing.

I personally havent ive only had the car since april but didnt realise the reverse lights didnt work till it started getting dark in the evening haha
I dont know if their was work done before hand thanks for the advice ill have a look and maybe run a new wire through
