When putting disco in reverse lights dont come on altho i did run some wire for extra lights i added on and did run those wires next to fuse box could i of knocked a wire out when fitting those lights
 
Happened to mine once. I also lost the dash board warning lights at the same time.
Turned out to be a fuse which controls both of the above.
 
the switch wears out in the gearbox...

do they work if ya pull the gear lever to the right in reverse?

you'll have to get someone to check whilst yr holding the gear lever...
 
could some one tell me where to find the reverse light switch under the car i found out the gearbox is an R380?
 
okai so ive changed the switch and still nothing bulbs are fine too

does anyone know a good landy auto technician
 
just bolt on a pair of 55w revering lamps above the back door and a relay and switch problem solved
 
I previously had the same problem, Changed the switch but still no joy... The switch worked all connected up out of the gearbox but once installed the workings in the box are not touching the switch.

Rather than messing around with the gearbox I opted for the running a switched relay with the switch mounted by the electric window buttons on centre console.....just press it before you reverse.... Just like the good old days
