i want to attach a seperate rev counter into my 110 3.9 v8. it used to be a diesel.
i was wondering where the v8 takes its pick up from for an aftermarket rev counter many thanks guys

I dont know but all of the come with full instructions apparently!

I am not going to fit mine untill I have done the rest of the wok on it.

Usually the negative side of the coil.

However, all it needs is a pulse, so whichever side works better will do :D

lol i got mine when i brought the truck so i guess i will try negative first and go from there thanks for the help guys

Be careful when choosing one on ebay. Make sure it says that it's suitable for a v8. I just bought one which stated for ALL MODELS,but that was not the case when i got it the gauge had a switch on the back for 3,4,6,cylinders. No good to me.
