Hi again feel a bit of a numptie here but does anyone know how i remove the retaining clip from my air intake hose to throttle body not a jubilee clip looks like a metal band with ridges on any help be appreciated thanks

If it is a plain metal band (with a ridge crimped into it on one side or either side) it is a factory installed (cost reduction) clip that is, as far as I know, a single use application.

They need to be cut off with a junior hacksaw and replaced with a good quality, (ie, not Chinese) jubilee clip.

The factory clip used is like that used on CV joints. Just cut it off and replace with a worm drive clip ;)
It should be similar the this.

Thanks for your replys yes thats the one i,ll get cutting didn,t want to break it then be stuck thanks again

Don't cut it !!! :)

Can you see the bit at the top left, that just hooks over the ridge on the top right.

So to undo it , put a small screwdriver or pick under the bit and the top left and flick it up.

To refit it, push it back together and then either use some clip pliers or a pair of sidecutters to just push the hook back over the lip.

So much quicker than jubilee clips :)
