Just sorting out inside the cab of my series 3 - ripped out all the damp storage (felt sound deadening), scraped off the glue, wire brished, sanded and wire wooled everywhere...... I now need help please......
What do I use as a sealant around the edges of the floor panels?
Do I use etching primer before the sealant to make sure all the metal edges are primed?
Can you paint directly onto the sealant or do you prime it as well? Somewhere on the forum I read about DUM DUM. Is that the stuff and where can I get it from?
Thanks

Hi many people use many different methods but a pretty good one i think is either red oxide with primer on the top and then top coat or etch primer with hammerite and top coat

I wouldn't bother with sealant, guaranteed you will want to take them up not long after they are sealed tight..

there is the use of single sided self adhiesive rubber / neoprene draught excluders round the edges before you screw or rivvet the floor pannels down perfectly sealed but readily removeable and hellish cheap aswell
