I've had some driveline vibration at around 100km/h for a while and also a clunk that was heard when starting to move, so I decided to replace the UJs in the front propshaft.
I marked the propshaft because I know that the spline parts need to be in correct alignment. But I did not mark the front flange. I know it's 50/50 when reassembling but I'm worried about this.
RAVE says to mark everything but I've also read some threads stating that the flanges are irrelevant to balacing (which I tend to believe). Which is right ?

The critical thing is alignment if the 2 halves of the prop.

Although I always mark the flanges, as a matter if principle, it isn't critical. Don't loose any sleep over it, as the prop is balanced as a unit.

Thanks for the input!
I took lots of photos during the procedure so it may even be possible to find out which way the flange was on. But I won't loose too much time obsessing over it :)
