So I'm replacing the upper rear side body panels on my 2000 110 and I'm going to do the safari door at the same time. The panels are windowed and I'm going to buy a solid window kit from Masai. The safari door is going to be from SP-4x4, one of the all galvanised ones.

Can anyone check my shopping list for me?

Side panels:
Window kit including all rivets, sealant, from Masai.
Seal for between the body capping and the panels.
Plumbers putty for the top?
Quarter panels window kit.

Safari door:
Door kit with the window and everything.
New seal for around the door.

I feel like I should have more for the door at least, though I will be reusing everything I already have. My hinges have rust last sort of looks like it's dripping down from the bolt through the middle, can I clean this up without just buying new ones? Is there some sort of gasket between the hinge and the body/door?

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm going to be doing this on the driveway so I'd rather not get half way through it and suddenly realise I've got a job I can't finish and have to leave the 110 wide open all night.

There's a rubber seal between roof and sides. I fitted new ones but they leaked so refitted them using non setting mastic and still leak free 16 yrs later.
I replaced my rear hinge pivot bolts with stainless steel bolts as well as the hinge mounting bolts.

Before you purchase from SP, do a few searches. I didn’t have a good purchase with them, and customer services are shocking (at best).

As for the rest of it, I would purchase some sticky back neoprene in different thickness up to 3mm. These can be made into gaskets for parts you can’t buy.

I've heard of a few people having issues, but where else am I going to get a galvanised door? I don't think I've seen anyone else selling them. Can anyone who's had a bad experience elaborate a bit? I've no idea what problems people have had, just a bunch of people saying they won't use them again.

I looked at the stainless steel hinges as well but they were really expensive, like as much as a door. Is anyone selling them cheaper?

Must it be galved? If so, purchase a Britpart Puma rear door, send it to a paint stripper to be chemically stripped, then get it shipped to a galvaniser. Probably double the price of the door, but at least it will fit, possibly, maybe.
