My Freelander TD4 was blowing a load of black smoke, it lacked power and I was advised that I should change the Intercooler hoses. If I replace the hoses to and from the intercooler, is there anything else I need to do before trying the td4. Do I need to wash anything through or change any of the filters, or should the problem be resolved? Does anyone know which hoses that i need and is it a big job to change them?

Have you got a copy of RAVE it will show you all the hoses needed. They are not that hard to change. Look at this link, should help.
