Hi all, I think my viscos fan is in need of replacement, it has a broken fin, it feels like there is a little play - i:e it can be slightly rocked from side to side. My Temp runs just above half but dosent overheat, I live in a "hot climeate", my A/C works but seems to cool better on longer runs. Is there any after market viscos fans available? And any other advice on changing the fan, would be appreaciated. I will also do the thermostat and have the radiator serviced whilst replacing the fan,

Cheers Richard.

why would you want an aftermarket viscous?

There shouldn't be any play.

Just remember that TD5 viscous fans are right hand thread and not left hand. THey only take 30 seconds to take off and on.

I can second the right hand thread bit - I mis-read on another forum (and a friend's mention too) that they were left hand threads and I spent a lot of time resorting to a hammer and chisel to try to loosen the darn thing. The TD5 engine is definitely a normal right-handed thread - my old one had seized solid.
