Ok so I've only got one remote locking fob and one key which i just broke off in the filler cap.. not bothered about the key but got me worried about the key fob. Is it possible to get replacement fobs??? :p

Im in the same boat bud. Local dealer in Inverness wants £150 bangers and the sales man was grinning form ear to ear as he told me. Ive been searching the net and a cheaper solution seems to be here but they dont have a tel number ! :

Land Rover Discovery I Key Fob

This company says all in £50 once you send them their gizmo back. Has anyone else tried them or this option, or does anyone know a better, cheaper, reliable company.
cheers
Stuart

How does a D1s fob break off in a filler cap? even with a D2 it's only the blade that breaks and blanks are available.

Nah the single key broke, to get me home I put the broken bit into the ignition so the broken key would start the car, however now I can't manually unlock or lock the doors as I've only got the fob to use! This became apparent when the battery went flat last month... Bye bye central locking! Lol

Get a spare fob from ebay (same frequency as the one you've got obviously), or just sort a new key and lock the car using that. My fob need's re-soldering but locks fine on the key, personally I find the range of of LR fob's pitiful.

Not sure what the difference is betweenkey fobs but I got a disco 2 key fob with blank blade for £10 of eBay all I had to do was transfer the electric gubbens from the old fob to the new fob, they even inculded a set of battery's

I did exactly the same as JUNDER above, a couple of weeks ago, easy to do & best £10 Ive ever spent (apart from a tenner I spent in Amsterdam ten years ago)
