Hi all,

I missed my car's key and remote key. My car is Freelander 1, 2002, 2.5 V6. How can I replace ignition and remote key. Please help me.

For new ignition keys you must contact to Parkland Locksmith they are experts in making new ignition keys .I have past experience and wanted to share with all of you I had an old Saturn that had this problem. Had a manual transmission. But all in vain and then i contact to these locksmiths.Really enjoyable experience.

For a new fanny you must contact to www.newfanniesrus.co.uk they are experts in making new fannies .I have past experience and wanted to share with all of you I had an old weathered fanny that had this problem. Are they supplied with excessively hairy bushes to match hairy ar5es?

I think our friend 'Allen' is based in Romania and operates a gang, sorry business, that specialises in sorting security hacks on RR Vogues, but if he and his mates are in your area they'll also take, sorry fix, you measly Freelander.

Mmmmmmm, methinks I smell a rat! Maybe it's just Grumpy's hairy arse but even he can't possibly stink that bad. Can he?

Took a look at the website of the locksmith in question and even though Americans are well known for their illiteracy, I don't think that website was put up by someone with English as their first language. Add to that the only contact info is a dodgy looking phone number and I don't think I'll be asking them to secure my premises.

The fact its a .org not a .com or .co.xx gives the game away that this is either a Romanian car jacking scam or a Nigerian money stealing scam.

The domain is registered to an "Asaf Ashkenazi" in Haifa, Israel. The OP (ie fictitious poster) has past experience of them - well it isn't much past history because the domain was created less than 2 months ago.

So if any idiots want to use this outfit to lose their vehicle or a decent sum of money, feel free, you may just get a visit from one of Mr Asaf's friends who's currently in the UK on his OE (via Turkey, Greece, Hungary).

How do you know all that? I really must brush up on my cyber skills.

FWIW: For anyone who reads through this thread trying to find a way to get their transponder cloned here is a real answer not involving Romanians, Armenians or Nigerians.

Like a lot of other people it seems I bought my Freelander with only one key. If you search E-Bay you will find a seller who sells LR blanks complete with the Philips 46 transponder for a reasonable price. The seller is in China so you will have to deal with one Johnny Foreigner (Although he is unlikely to pop by and nick your Hippo). When you receive your key with transponder take it to your local automotive Locksmith and have him cut the key and clone the chip to match your existing one and that's it. It will end up being considerably cheaper than going to a dealer, and can be done no matter if you live in Sweden or South America.

I have a question - is there anyway you can disable the chip"zecuirty" (very german) in the key for a freelander 1? best one was "put the key in the steering case", but if i dont care about 'zecurity', and you just want a reliable car the wont pull any tricks on you like" ops the battery is f..ed in you fob. you are fu..ed.. etc ;-) .... can you just pull a fuse ? or?
aaaand.. if i could kill the immobilizer/fob at the same time - perfect! ;-) anyone?
