Hi There.

I require some info re coil spring on a P38,

We have had the P38 for approx 3 years and it was fitted with a coil conversion before we got it. (Dont know what make the conversion is)

The trouble is the rear springs have become very soft, put the kids in or the weekly shop in the back and the arse drops significantly, hitch the caravan on and the wheels disappear into the arches.

I have tried to find replacement rear springs, however I keep getting told i have to buy a complete air to spring conversion kit. Is this right or does anyone know different.

ps ideally i want a heavier duty spring as the rangey is always loaded and tows regually

Thanks

I live in dubai and this is a very common conversion although I think Range Rover buffs in the UK dont like it. I think The springs that are used are Disco springs.
Good Luck
Peter

im also in need of some new springs, but cant find any other alternative, than buy a new conversion kit. could defender or disco springs work i wonder?

Try milners, I'm sure there is someone out there that will sell springs separately I mean the guys who trial these don't use airbags

Think Terrafirma might do some harder ones but my preference, especially if switching loads and towing would be to return to air.
