I am about to replace my 90 TD5 chassis but looking around they vary from £1.5k to £3k so my question is what chassis would you guys recommend?

I fitted a Marsland chassis to mine. No complaints, everything fitted perfectly. Avoid Shielder Chassis at all cost.
There’s a “new” chassis supplier, someone from Poland I think. A few on here have fitted them.

I had a Marsland fitted to my 110 Td5 two months ago, highly recommend.
Be aware, my insurance company said that a new chassis was a modification and they would not cover it !

That's an interesting position from the insurance Co' - the chassis is a direct replacement for an aged primary component and includes the chassis number. When a rear axle is replaced with a new unit due to age/deterioration, an insurance Co' doesn't state it's a modification...afterall, it's part of the driveline and a primary component. This for same on all older/chassis mounted vehicles.

Which insurance Co's is this so we know to avoid?

the blueprint/dimensions for any fabricator to build a chassis are in my series manual,
its without doubt treated as a consumable in the book,

I explained that the Marsland chassis was Gkn and as fitted from the factory but the were having none of it.
I asked them if my 110 was damaged in a crash and required a new chassis what would their position be ?
Lots of umm and ahhs but no answer.
The insurance company was LV who I had no problems with over the years.
Getting new insurance was a pain because none of the insurers would give me business cover.
In the end it was only NFU and Adrian Flux who could provide business cover, Adrian Flux was the cheaper option by £350.
