Managed to get stuck into the exhaust today. Dropped the old one by slicing into pieces with a grinder and cutting bolt heads off, about 20 mis work.

Then took me two hours to get the front section threaded through the chassis.

I honestly didnt think it was going to go. Biggest problem, the floor. Not the car floor but the floor floor. I need a lift, or at least a pit before attempting this again. :D

Yes, the front needs to be an alarming number of inches off the floor. I'd love to have a pit. It would make so many little jobs more pleasant.

Its amazing how useful that manhole is in the back street.

No I didnt.......... :D

Ended up jacking the gearbox and popping off the mount. That was a sod in itself. Just gave me the extra room needed without lifting the beast 18 inches.

;)

I'm currently bodging mine together to get it through the MOT. I am very tempted to go stainless after this.

Just done mine is twice.. Some big stands and a good jack are a must it needs to be right up in the air then its a piece of ****..after you've had the manifold off to replace broken studs and welded up the broken hanger points then spotted the huge hole in the chassis...
