Hi,
Im sat in my car using RSW Soultions software to remove EAS faults, i have had software running, but it just goes on forever, do these numbers ever stop rolling. Can anyone just give a brief step by step guide of what im looking at. And what i need to do to remove this EAS fault. Colin

Hi,
Cleared faults, then re-read them, getting, faults 2. FR signal incorrect, 6.RR signal incorrect, 7. Vehicle has moved. I will clean connections, 2 and 6, dont know what 7 means, is it because im sat in it? Colin

The scrolling numbers in the Tx & Rx columns just mean that the computer and ECU are sending & receiving signals.

When changing the bags, if the axle is dropped lower than the normal range of positions that the height sensor operates at, it could be that the sensor has picked up some dirt that is causing the codes. Has been talked about on here before, a search might throw up a fix.

You have probably damaged the 2 sensors, should have followed my guide. The rolling numbers are normal. Vehicle has moved just means the suspension position has changed after the ignition was turned off.
Click on Unlock Suspension and re-read the faults, if the sensor faults are still there unless the sensor arms are off or the connectors corroded, it's looks like you will have to replace them

Hi,
When i press Unlock EAS, nothing shows up, that anything as happened.

I have tried what you said, and i still have my two faults, 6, RR No signal was the air bag which had split, 2, FR No Signal, which i havent touch the front bags, so i why i have a problem with this sensor baffles me.
If i discontact the other rear sensor, would or should i get another fault saying (LR No Signal)
What does F8 F9 FA FB FC and the numbers that sometimes appear in the boxes underneath.

Thanks for all your replies!!!!!!!!!! Colin

Apart from a momentary change in the rolling numbers, you will see nothing when you hit Unlock until you read the faults again.
Are you using a USB to serial adaptor? Which version of Windows are you using? It's begining to sound like you may have a comms problem.
If you unplug another sensor you should get another fault if the software is communicating with the EAS.

Hi,
Yes USB to serial adaptor, Windows XP.
When it shows Green Good idle, doesnt that ensure im connected, had to change to comm 2 to get it scrolling, when i do press Unlock EAS, i did see flicker of the STATUS to red then go back to GOOD IDLE (Green). Colin

Hi,
I disconnected Rear Lefthand Sensor, and that fault showed up, so that should prove im talking to the EAS.
So i will clean the connections, on these other two sensors and see what happens, why cant i use WD40? Colin

Because WD 40 is a water dispersant and leaves a waxy film on the items it is sprayed onto. You need contact cleaner not WD 40.

OK, you have proved that the comms is good. For contact cleaner, I use Aeroclean or Servisol, try Maplin or CPC.

Hi,
I got some contact cleaner from Maplins, sprayed the contacts, re-checked faults, it still appeared, so i then decided to change sensor, so i jacked up the car by chassis until wheel of ground. I then re-checked for faults, and it had disappeared, so i replaced wheel back on floor, started my car, and put suspension on highest height and it worked.
So just wondering when suspension hits bump stops, maybe the car needs to lifted just alittle for sensors to register.

I would like to thank everyone who replied to my problem, without these members us newbies would be spending lots of money at these garages which have over charged me in the passed.........Thanks Again Colin (Until next time)

Maybe a bit of debris causing poor or no contact. Another one for people to note.

A sign of worn sensors, as Wammers said a bit of debris causing a bad contact on the wiper track.
