Hi all,

Replaced the battery today - the old one was completely dead as even the alarm led wasn't flashing any longer. So, key in door to unlock, popped bonnet. Replaced battery and I heard dongs inside the car, like when you leave the ignition in.

Opened door and the alarm went off with key code lockout message and cycling through window and sunroof errors.

It's now wanting the eka I presume and I've called the local dealers who want me to go down with the v5 and id.

In the meantime, the display is still showing key code lockout despite it being locked manually. Should that remain lit?

Hi,

Keycode lockout usually shows for 30 mins.
Do a search to find the correct procedure to enter the EKA code when you have it as it varies with model year. I think from memory you have 3 attempts at the EKA then get keycode lockout again but If you open the door after two attempts it will stop this and allow further EKA entries.

Open and close the door between EKA attempts to stop it locking out for 30 minutes after the third attempt.
