The end is insight for my 90's repairs.
The drivers door didn't need anything major doing thankfully. The passenger door needed a bit of welding.
Old series back door
The two finished assembled doors awaiting fitting.
If you look at this picture you can see that the paint if very flaky all over the body and doors. The landy had been painted before around 10 years ago when it was converted from the original full canvas. None of the paint was stuck properly and the whole thing had to have all the previous paint removed.
The following photos show the tub where I had scrapped all the old paint off by hand. This took some serious patients.
Windscreen ready to fit
Windscreen in, chequer play fitted. The shocks have been replaced and my old Modulars and tyres are fitted (robbed from Gloria)
Very close to being finished now. Back door has the heated screen fitted and just needs to fit the wiper.
There is loads of interior stuff that needs finishing but I shall do that as and when. I just want to drive it now, it been too long. I picked it up at the begining of August and have been working on this every weekend since then and only driven it 8 miles.
And finally...... the man who has made all this work possible. My dear Dad.
