Hi, with "Summer" approaching I am planning to remove the hard roof and fit the soft top and in doing so remove the roof bars.
So my question is, is there a cover that can be fitted over the screw holes left in the roof?
Thanks.
I understand that the soft top is not that happy opening and closing with the roof rail on, that would have been my preferred option.Took mine off earlier in the week.
Rear mounts - undo torx screw that goes through the rail.
Front mounts - undo centre torx screw and lift off rail.
2 choices - leave it like this or go further to completely remove... (or put the rail back on after fitting the soft back (ok make that 3 choices)).
Hmm, now that is another thought.Under the front you will find the mounting bracket held on with 2 bolts. If you have the plastic trim cover you will need to remove this mount in order to clip the cover back in, but by removing the 2 bolts you'll let water into the cab so screw some shorter bolts back in to seal the hose.
On the back you will need to remove the mounting feet and fit a cover (that GStuart said).
Personally, if you're going to refit the hardback for the winter I wouldn't bother getting the covers, I haven't noticed any new noises driving mine with the rail removed and clamps still in place.
Thanks for the link, appreciated.this is where I bought them from

i also done the rear lenses as the old screws were showing signs of rust and was just easier to replace them before I had trouble getting them out
