My Landy has been many colours in it's life mostly due to the army changing it's colour scheme every now and then and being hand painted since. I can't afford to get the body bead blasted so was wondering what's the best way to remove as much of the old paint as I can to give me a good base to start with?

It can be used on some plastics, best to test on a small area first I guess. But I'm pretty sure it will ruin seals. If you're not taking the windows and stuff out I'd either mask them up or just use the nitromors to do the main bulk of the removal and do the bits nearest to the seals by hand.

Why dont you just sand it right back, beats using stripper and is a lot better for the environment and yourself. Just start with some really rough stuff like 60 or 80 and then finish off with 220.

this tells u everything Paint Stripping Car Panels those disks they use are really good used them myself with nitromoors as well put the nitromoors on wait till it bubbels then go over it with one of them easy

Yeah in holland, but i work with that **** everyday, and believe me it is better for you and a lot easier. Stripper, and the stripper that you use will take ages all depending on what type of paint has been used . We have stuff at work that will take the skin off your hands in about 30 seconds. If there is two pack or three pack on there, you will never ger it off with nitromoors

We stripped the works ex-mod 90 with Nitromors and it DOES EAT your seals , spats , light rubber seals and lenses oh and skin .
But if you can get your hands on a orbital sander then flat it back till its smooth and spray her , unless the body rivets are buryed in layer on layer of paint like the one I done , if it is then Nitromors is your best answer ( just take off as much plastic as u can ---- ( and no - masking tape wont stop it eating the plastic/rubber ).
