I need to get the Clarion hu out of my soft dash but I can't seem to.
Best I can find on line is this for a p38
radiolcd
its the same hu so I assume it comes out the same way but at the moment no amount of wiggling i those 2 holes seems to get me any closer to getting it out.
Any suggestions?

You need two wires just less in diameter as the holes. Slight point on them push them in to retract the two lock catches. Then wriggle unit out.

radios come out either of 2 ways...

a..thin ie 6mm by .5mm strip down either side..then pull
or .. pins down the holes.pop rivets are perfect ..

Is that the voice of experience ?:D:D:D

Was around that area now and again in the early sixties. Dock road Litherland was a bit of a rum place to say the least. Even the bread delivery vans had to have a second mate or there would be nowt left in it when the driver came back from delivering a tray of bread. Same with milk floats. Mate of mine worked for ITT the electrical wholesalers. Did a spell in their branch down that neck of the woods as stand in manager. He went in early and locked the doors behind him. Went into the office to get ready to open when the staff arrived, after a while he heard a noise. Went to look and was given a good kicking and his keys taken, two blokes walked out of the front door loaded a van with teles and the like whilst the third guarded him. Turns out they had climbed onto the bonnet of his car onto the roof then onto an outbuilding and in through a window. So he spent the rest of the day in hospital and his car was knackered. Lets say he didn't enjoy the experience. :D:D

Got it out in the end, wasn't being brutal enough!
One useful thing is that there is a reset button by the main volume knob. On a classic you have to remove the knob and peel away the trim from that bottom corner.
Hopefully that will get rid of my cd error code and get it working again.
