Ive taken the horn fuse out, so now the horn doesnt work, but it still goes off with the alarm, how can i stop this? Because ive got an intermittent fault, every so often the alarm will go off for no reason saying its been triggered by bonnet switch, although bonnet switch has now been changed! Thanks, Sam

The alarm siren is located by the engine bay fuse box, It will be one of two types, either BBUS (Battery Back Up Sounder) or standard Klaxon,
the BBUS obviously has it's own internal rechargeable battery which allows it to still function after the car battery is disconnected. If it's BBUS, it will have a label on it to that effect.
The alarm function can be disabled in the Becm if necessary.

Hi Sam
I take it it's your alarm 'horn' that's going off rather than the car horns?
The battery backed up alarm sounder as they call it is located on the offside inner wing. They also do one without the battery backup. Disconnect it. You could also try disconnecting your bonnet switch as this is normally open circuit with the bonnet closed.

I tried disconnecting the bonnet switch for a few days, but it has no effect, it still goes off in the middle of the night and most innapropriate times, ****ing off the neighbours lol. If it doesnt stop tonight then i will be sending the becm off tommorrow to get the alarm disabled, its driving me insane, Sam
