Hi all
My P38a needs rear brake pipes renewed for the MOT. The mechanic told me that he might need to drop the tank. Would this be right?

Yes that would be best way to do it, even on early versions. If he can do it without removing the tank on later versions he's a better man than i am Gunga Din.

Don't let him make too big a deal of dropping the tank - it's not a big job.

Just less than half a tank Putting it in tomorrow morning. I was going to do it myself, but I've still not fully recovered after the operation.
