Hi Guys,

How can I get my Freelander 1 3door removable sun roof looking nice and black again it is going a rather unpleasant gray colour. Any ideas I am quite new to all this so your collective experience and knowledge again is needed.

Kind regards

Kieran

I take it you're on about your removable roof.
I use liquid leather food! to keep it in good condition. Then use good old black boot polish, put it in the sun for a while to soften it them rub it in with a soft cloth.

I use 'boiled linseed oil' on all my black trim, hard top roof, roof bars, wheel arches, solid balck sunroofs, everything works amazing and lasts weeks

I use meguiers trim polish 3 for 2 at halfrauds at £9.99 a bottle it also works good on the arches and interior trim

Last time I did mine I wiped all of the plastics over with used engine oil and then used some budget bumper and trim stuff I have had lying around for years, has lasted well for a few months but needs another going over.

Another vote for linseed oil.
