Hi, have a 2003 Disco 2. Remote key opener is not working. It has been like this since I bought it. Both keys (FOB's) seems to be working. They are blinking (new batteries).
Checked the receiver unit in the ceiling, seems to be OK.
The garage disconnected the immobilizer a few years back. Is the two connected in some way? Would be very grateful for any help.
Regards Arild

Probably need re-coding to the car's ECU. You can either ask a dealer to rob of you of some money or find a friendly local person with a Nanocom and the know how to help you out

How did you check it? ... did you use an oscilloscope? ,cos you can't check it in another way ... untill you dont make sure that the receiver is faultless any other investigation is in vain...u better replace it with a new one(or a guaranteed good one), it's not that expensive then if it doesnt work we can go further(at least you'll have a spare)

you have some info here(the only difference is that the frequency for Europe is 433Mhz instead of 315) http://www.landroverclubvi.com/uplo...odule_troubleshooting_and_upgrade8610nasf.pdf

As the Count D above .. I'm always suspect when the word "seems" is used, it's OK or it's not. The recevers have been known to fail and also the fob led is just an idication that the button is press and making a contact, not that a signal has be sent.
Test don't guess ;)

What a good day in Bergen, Norway. Replaced central lock receiver and my central locking system is working again. No programming needed.
Both keys working fine. Thanks for Your help.
