i have a 2006 freelander 1 td4 hse and the remote central locking is very erratic. It works on times and not on others. Any suggestions please.

Only use your fob on days that it is working.

Service schedule says change them every year, but they usually last longer. However, the cheapo ones in a flat multipack (£1 from a market stall) often fail prematurely. Try a Panasonic (CR2032).

It is according how much you use it to how long it lasts and get a good make cheap ones will last only a week or so
