is it worthwhile on a TD4?
I believe Dynachip also do Freelanders, just make sure it aint raining as your doors may fall off
Yes, the TD4 responds well to remapping.
Talk to the technician first about which map to go for. Tell them what use the car normally has.
Going for the full on remap may be fun at first, but if your driving in heavy traffic all day it will become tiresome.
Or put a Synergy chip or similar on first, and see if you like the effect

Remap first then add a Synergy on top. Just be careful not to break the crank
Thanks, I'm not sure what I want a remap to do... I've just got the idea in my head after a mate mentioned it... however, he's mates with the remap bloke too.... I am caught in a cycle of consumerist self-fulfilling purchase phenomenon
I don't fink so, me drums on the back will be glowing white hot every time I stop...
Depends on what version of the FL you have, Facelift or pre Facelift, manual or auto and do you tow or not?
Mines a pre facelift 52 plate auto. I use a synergy on setting 2, which would be equivalent to an economy remap (roughly).
If I put any more power through than this, my autobox would self destruct
Whereas @Nodge68 has a facelift version, autobox, and that will take more torque.
Can't really comment on the manual versions.
Lastly, if you do use your FL to tow, go and get a remap or tuning box, the difference is amazing

Remapped today!
Different car entirely.
Where did you get it done? If you don't mind me asking.
