Hi all

Will be picking up my first ever FL2 HSE on Saturday and here's my (silly) question....

The garage has offered to carry out a remap prior to me collecting it for a charge of £299. How do I know that it's just to bank some more of my hard earned cash and that the remap has already been done by the previous owner?

Simples
Say not yet, buy it and drive it. If still in doubt then have a test drive in another car the same model.

Yep! That would work.

Trouble is, the price sounds good. Probably too good.

Definitely want it remapped if it isn't already.

£300 for a remap is "cheap"? Wow


~£200 is the norm in the Rover scene.. with the same engine. Give this fella a shout if you want a top-notch remap:

I've seen a remap advertised for a Freelander 2 around £450
