Well Gents

I would like to thankyou all for your input.

However this will be the 3rd car that i have chipped/remapped and covered over 200,000 miles in all in these vehicles.
IST CAR WAS A P38 MANUAL. covered 120,000 miles chipped. no issues with any engine or gearbox parts.:)
2ND CAR WAS A MITSUBISHI SHOGUN SPORT. 80 k done whilst chipped, and no issues.:)

so experience and the way i drive( conservatively) tells me that i have, will, and do get more power when required( a fact that we all agree on).
better fuel economy if driven like a nun. ( fact that most of us agree on).

But excessive wear and tear over the years( maybe ?)but not that i have ever noticed!

I guess if your driving something that is 15 years old and done 200+ k miles then things may be different:eek:

only time will tell

many thanks

I've got a plug in chip on my 2.5 dse . I don't know how it work but it works on mine , more power, 60-80 miles per tank better off and I don't drive like a nun .

Thats MPG of the dash computer which tells lies after a re-map. Do a brim to brim check and find out what you arre really doing, oh and start saving for your new gearbox.

that is exactly why i didn't bother with mine, want more poke don't buy a rangie,
want a vehicle that will do everything and a bit more put up with what you have.wouldn't be without mine they seem to look a bit odd when you start racing them around:eek:

Very True !

I think mine is pretty nippy as it is, for a 3Tonne lump ! it still ****es over the boy racers in there corsa's at the traffic lights ! :p:p:p

Who said anything about racing around . Saving fuel is the main thing and if it pays for it's self why not,the extra power off road comes in handy

Hi, I had my L322 remapped 2 months ago and I do agree with That's Bollocks i do see a difference in fuel and power,I'm very happy with the £200 i spent on it.
