How difficult is it to change an o/s front reluctor ring or is it a complete assembly the garage has told my my abs reluctor ring has colapsed or crack cos its making a scraping sound and my abs and tc fault lights are on. Cheers guys

Think the Ring is part of the CV Joint - but I could be wrong (again )

Reluctor ring is part of CV joint not serviceable separately. Sensor should be pushed in to touch reluctor ring. The relutor ring as it rotates should push the sensor out to form an air gap. If it is scraping on the sensor possibly the sensor is seized and the wheel bearing has movement in it. Very rare for a reluctor ring to fail.

Ant will be along shortly to tell you. When he stops crying and blows his nose. :D:D:D

I just phoned p38spares and they want 58 quid for the cv joint and a mahoosiv £141.78p for the sensor, ebay I think

P38 spares are seriously over the top for parts. Considering most of them are pattern and not genuine. Sensors on the bay for £20.00 or less. How good they are is the question, but some offer a eighteen month warranty.

I bought OEM Sensors for my L322 from my friendly Main Dealer in Guildford (Hunters) and they were £27 odd each!

Yes P38 sensors from dealers are silly money. Also Britpart seem to have jumped on the bandwagon with what they charge. There are P38 sensors on Ebay for less than £20.00 quality unknown. But some for around £20.00 with a eighteen month warranty. So you takes your choice.:):);)
