That's what Rave says to be able to remove the battery carrier. I've found them, they support the main loom and positive cable. I can't see any way to "remove" them - ie for reuse.

They look like cable ties with a prong to poke through a hole in the battery tray and clicks into place never to be removed.

Does anyone know if they have to be cut and new ones put in or can be 'opened' in some way.

Aren't thay the type with two prongs you squeeze together to release? Or can you not get to the other side?

The prongie bits are underneath the tray - so can't see them. I've had a good feel of them, they definitely can't be squashed by hand and I don't think there's access for pliers.

Assuming you can't remove the tray to improve access, I suppose you'll have to break them off with a prybar and replace with a cable tie, in the great LR tradition.

I used a trim tool, (like a bent screwdriver with a vee slot) it applies pressure on either side so doesn't damage the clip as you remove it

I managed to get them out undamaged with pliers. I couldn't get to them as was, so I unbolted the tray and managed to turn it round so I could get better access to them.
