Hi All
2001 P38 4.6 V8 auto
I got home yesterday from a run and heard a regular knocking noise from engine bay, I turned the engine off and it stopped, turned on the ignition without running the engine and it started again. It appears to be coming from the sperical ball area for the brake system. However cannot feel the knocking which sounds loud enough to feel. Just before it happened a I got a low brake fluid warning, checked all ok. Advise would be welcome. Thanks Les

Did the fluid level drop so much you got air into the system?

I would be checking for leaking brake fluid, check the pipes at the back as they rust as it sounds like fluid has leaked level has gone down and air has got in to the pump.

As above ^^^^, plus check the accumulator is OK.

If so I believe there aint many possible conclusions...

It's highly possible he's a Witch therefore we should check to see if his tits are dry...me first!

Thank you replace rear pipes a couple of years ago, shall check out the accumulater

level should be checked with the engine running, once the pump has stopped.
