Hey all, I'm about to buy a 90 1986 and wanted to know if you would drive it from Yorkshire to Glasgow or get it transported? I used to have a Series 3 some years back that I know would never be great on a long motorway journey. I appreciate that this age of vehicle was never designed to cope with hours of motoring at 60mph.

Drive it back! Get to know it and any issues it throws up. Just remember to take your RAC/AA recovery card...

our '86 Ninety (TUL, FFW) was bought near York as a non-runner so trailered home to South Wales, we bought a 200tdi Disco from Peterborough and drove that home BUT had RAC cover in case of it needing a rest;)

60mph:eek:

our 2.5d Ninety manages ~50mph downhill:oops:
