My v5 doc says my disco 2 is a five seater, but its got seven.

Has some1 converted it or do all v5's state five seats?.

Its on coils, but has the compressor and ride height sensors, plus the switch on dash.

Sorry if this has been answered before some place.

They might have done a mixage there ... cos afaik it's unlawful to be a 7 seater on coils ...maybe that's why it's registered as 5 seater

How is it unlawful to be a seven seater on coil springs?

due to weight further over rear axles it had to have air to meet european standards.Big insurance problems with coil converstions unless you lose the extra seats.

Wow that sounds interesting. When I got my Disco I was looking for a 7 seater but ended up with a five, maybe its a good thing cos this one does have a 2" lift. She is a beast but is no more :-(

The only european standards to meet were manufacturing ones the standards required at the time the disco was built, but now it is 'non applicable you can do what you want, install another axle and turn it into a limo or what ever as long DVLA and your insurance company are told of the modifactions that have been done to the vehicle.
