Yes I know I'm a knob.
I fryed the red/white wire that feeds all the gauge's.
My question is, I have traced it back to behind the clock but where does it go after that. I'm hoping to cut it back as far as I can & replace with new wire.
On the wiring dia it goes back to the fuse box, but which way does it go & how easy is it to get to ?

Not got my diags with me.

What does it do? is it the gauge lighting circuit? if so, will go to the steering column light switch.

If it goes directly to the fuse box, imagine it would run behind the speedo cluster and along the channel between the bulkhead and dash tray to about the middle, and then drop down to the fuse box.

A bugger to thread from scratch, so if you're planning on pulling through, I'd strongly tape some new wire to it first!

Hi mate did you manage to solve it, just saw your post and looking in the haynes book of lies it should go from the side light circuit to the cigar lighter illumination then to earth on cigar lighter, gauge illumination should be red according to Haynes, but it could prob supply gauge illumination as well if its been rewired at all, hope that helps;)

I've sorted it now. The wire ends up behind the clocks & changes into a red, I used the red/white wire as big fuse :D
