Thanks fella - much appreciated. Just cycled round the whole estate just in case, neighbiurs notcied it gone @ 5am (was there @9pm).
Any other places you can think of to post up in the vain hope it's not being stripped for spares ATM?
Thank god I took most of my fishing gear out last night....

Really sorry to hear about this. Did you have any security devices fitted Kevin? I know it's a little late if not but if you did it is more likely to be professionals who will strip it in no time. If it could have been taken by a chancer (no security to remove) there is probably more chance of it being found abandoned and hopefully not too badly damaged. :(

I'll keep my eyes open too...

Will email a couple of mates who live in Andover just in case it has gone that way....

Hello Mate,

A guy from work saw a burnt out Defender on his way in this morning near Bramley. It wasn't there last night at 7pm.

Hope it's not yours OP :(
I think an intruder detection system, wired in to the owners bedroom would be a wise move for us nowadays...

Theres got to be a market, for a wireless car alarm.

I.e an alarm installed in the vehicle like any normal alarm but, when parked outside your own home detects a wireless siren inside the house. if the car alarm is activated whilst in range of the home siren then this is also activated alerting you/us the landy owner that the vehicle is being tampered with.
