Hi, can anyone help,
just got my recon power steering box for my Disco 1 1997,
4 bolts going into the ps box are ok, but the other 2 holes in the power steering box are to small for the 2 bolts with locking nuts that came with the old power steering box from new, any help please,
:doh:by the way anyone going to fit a recon box, when it come to the drop arm, I used a blow torch and a big hammer and it came off in about 10 mins. :)

Just a thought but if only slightly smaller, could it be a build up of paint/ powder coat when refurbed and just needs re tapped

Just looked and it is a clean cut hole, when you bolt to the hole, it looks like you need to drill out about 1mm to 2mm out.
The bolt falls through the old box.
By the way, do you know how to put a photo on here ?
Many thanks Mick

heating the drop arm ,can bugger the seal and if hot enough weaken the shaft

Get yourself a photobucket account. Load yours pics to that and then copy and past the "img" code/shortcut to here and job done:)

what I need to know can I drill out the holes a bit more, without it doing any damage to the psb ?
