Just spent an hour. No dice.Check owners handbook/manuals people tend to write them in there
Nope. Looks like there has never been one. When I brought mine in the glove box there is a white sticker with the code on that
I'll have to look in the handbook to see how to extract it.Pull stereo out, should be on a sticker on the casing
OK, new battery in, radio lost code, but on putting in new battery there were sparks, even though everything was switched off. No wipers headlight etc etc.
What is the easiest way to rest if there is something flattening the battery?
Very odd.
Radio wants a 5 digit code, but when I spoke to Land Rover dealer they gave me a 4 digit one
here are me details...
Registration No: MA54...
Vehicle number : SALLNABE15A45....
Engine Number : 8242....
Radio code : 23.. - as supplied by land rover dealer
They said take console apart or drop glove box to read radio serial number - use last 5 digits
Do I really have to take half the interior to pieces to change a battery?
Before I changed the battery on my old Kia I connected a motorbike battery to the rear power socket to keep the radio powered. It worked a treat.

I'd remove some of your vehicle data, like I did.
The radio code will be 4 digits, if it looks like mine in the picture I posted.
No you can take the radio out in 2 minutes.
Bit late for that now Col.
