I've had a search round the forum regarding recaro seats and have found that a few have fitted Vauxhall recaros but I was wondering if anyone has fitted Ford RS Turbo recaros to a series 3 and if so how much fettling was needed...cheers

That was my thought but was wondering, bit of a shame as I remember them being comfy and can get my hands on some locally aswell

I've got 1960's style Cobra buckets, they're small very comfy and offer great hold off-road, but even they're tight to get in. The centre bulkhead stops the seat from going back far enough really. i've had to fit a smaller steering wheel because I couldn't get in and out, the gap between the seat and wheel was too small to get my legs in.

I've got a bit of a "WHO ATE ALL THE PIES" issue and find some bucket seats too tight and as I'm looking to use my s3 on the road aswell as off road I was wanting to replace the seats with inbetweenies...Any recommendations ??

I have Vauxhall Recaros in my Series and they really are very good indeed. I have Ford Recaros in my SJ and they sit quite a bit higher than the Vauxhall ones...I dare day if you are a bigger build it would be a very tight fit!

just put some MG seats in mine there a bit higher than the old ones but they fit well and comfy and they cost £0 got a good mate who was breaking the MG

i had rs turbo seats in my series 2a just bolted straight through the seat box were fine but then removed them and fitted them in my defender on modified defender runners :D as im putting the series back to how she left the factory in 66 :D

Thanks for all the advise managed to get my hands on a couple of cobra bucket seats that were in a mini...waiting for them to arrive and hopeing they fit with out too much fettling

Got Disco seats in mine - given that they are dirt cheap to pick up. Dead simple to fit and enough room to get in / out
