ive obtained a 1963 series 2 and it needs rebuilding, i have got the chance of a good series 3 bulkhead but the door hinges are different, now i know you purists like em to look original but would it be ok with the different hinges, how about a 90 front as well(joke) ;)

Go for it!

Dont forget: the windscreen hinges are different as well, so you might need to have a S3 windscreen too.
What colour are you gonna paint it? :)

right then, the ol' gurl is up on axle stands and ive been underneath with a big 'ammer, there is onepatch needed on the main chassis and the two bulkhead outriggers are shot.apart from that the chassis is in quite good condition. gonna remove the tub and seatbox so that i can shotblast the chassis.piccy's to follow.

by the way gareth it seems its ex mod, so i want to know who to contact about its history, i will get the details off the mod plate later todaym;)

hey up heidi, it says airfield maintanance vehicle on the plate, dunno of this means owt to you ;)

Yella seen as it's ex-raf maybe try droppin a twin turbo'd jag V12 in the back  flip the axles over an she'll fly again, just remember to upgrade the drums to lwb ones.

had all the welding done now and shotblasted the chassis, covered it in black chassis paint and getting ready to rebuild the back end, ol' gurl is certainly coming on ;)

i thought youde been busy on the old girl.

ps,
wanna hand sometime? get the beers in mate....

any time mate, the doris has got a list of jobs she needs doing but i'm too busy with ol' gurl to be doing em, i'm sure she would appreciate you coming over to help her ;)

well its a bit slow at the moment so i am adventuring up other avenues but fear not, we are still on the prowl for any work that comes our way ;)

went and fetched me a hard top today, off a smashing bloke in chorley, i ended up coming away with a trailer full of other things as well, the back end is done now, chassis repaired, shotblasted and painted a new exhaust and the rear tub and hard top fitted, time to strike the front end, gonna remove all the front and then its bulkhead time, no major gliches so far, i'll take some more pics this week ;)

As a total newbie, how difficult is it to remove the top and back of a series landy. I'm asking as I've just got a Series III and want to clean up the chassis etc.

Thanks.
