Got the old girl back together and up and running. But have a bit left over .
What is this bracket for and where does this go ? in the engine bay or on the engine (diesel 2 1/4) ?

Could it be part of the accelerator linkage, will check parts book later
Yes its part number 577258 and fits on bulkhead holding the main cross rail

I think I will have a lot of this when I start my rebuild. Took loads of photos but there is always one place you forget to take pics or its a bit too close up. I was looking through the mountain of parts at my mum's and there were things I have bought I have no idea what they are now. Lol

Yep its the accelerator link bracket
What does it mount?
The diesel "throttle cable" and linkage is a bit a of convoluted affair but I'm not sure sure where that would go.

I did wonder if it was a bracket to support for the speedo cable ?

Many thanks - any chance of a pic / diagram to show where you mean.
Dont worry I've found it . It goes on the LH side of the engine bay and is for petrol engines. The diesel has the injection pump on the RH side and so there are no linkages needed on the LH side.
Explains why it was just sitting in a box.
