Was out last night trying to diagnose why rear brake light wasn't activating. Turns out the area around where the spade connector connects to the copper strip has corroded slightly and isn't making connection.

But I found this cable which runs up the right hand side of the door frame and one wire connect to the door plunger the others I don't know where they go. Thought it might have been for the interior light but it still works when the plugs are disconnected.

I do, struggling to see how this is associated with that though. This wire runs up and into the headlining?

I had a similar issue with mine, except mine also included the rear wiper. With the help of PaulM, I later found out that it was a result of the tow bar loom. Look back at one of my early posts and you will see.

That's the connector for the tail door central locking.
