Can anybody confirm where the rear wiper should stop on a series 1 Freelander?

Should it be on the window rubber?

Mine has a little bit of slack and doesn't go all the way onto the rubber and stops on the glass.

It should sit on the rubber, virtually at 9 o'clock

Thanks. I'll have to take the rear wheel off and see if I can move the arm around a bit.

you are better taking the wheel off and then you can get to it better saying that I have been meaning to do the wife's as that sits just on the glass but in the winter she puts her back heated screen on and the wiper is not stuck by the frost.

When the wiper is turned off, the ccu waits for the wiper to reach the vertical position, then reverses the motors direction.
This throws an eccentric cam that increases the sweep of the wiper so it sits off the glass.
It could be the cam in the motor thats seized.

Took the spare wheel and carrier off yesterday and rotated the arm a little. Will see how it goes.

Still not parking correctly and stopping on the glass, I'll give it another adjustment.
