Hi all

on my 2004 freelander I can be driving and the rear wiper just starts up on its own anyone else experienced this

could be but i think front wipers need to be on to activate rear wiper when reverse is selected

If the rear wiper is switched on whilst driving forwards, it sweeps every few seconds (like the fronts on intermittent)

If the front wipesr are on and you select reverse gear, the rear wiper will wipe the rear window for you, at a normal speed.

Had same on mine recently. Had a new switch fitted and every time you put front wipers on the rear went mental. Turned out to be a faulty reverse switch.

no wiper switches had been touched or reverse I was on the motorway at the time
