Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble with my rear window, but not the usual problems as I've already had a search around for a fix. So, the story is that last week I tried to open my boot when it was quite cold and frosty. The window moved down as it should but only enough to clear the plastic top and allow the door to open, it didn't come down as far as it normally would do.
When I closed the door the window didn't move at all, just stayed down slightly.

Now, the weather has warmed and it's definitely not frozen or anything like that, when I use the button to move the window up and down I can hear the motor and mechanism working away but the window stays in place.

Is it possible it's just became detached from the window mechanism? If so, is it an easy fix?

Thanks in advance,

Jay

Almost certainly if you have funny noises the cable has become damaged.

Either replace the complete assembly or change the cables. They are wildly available on eBay and Amazon but I have used several suppliers and the best I have found for the cables is thewindowregshop on eBay. The other kits seem inferior and I have had to replace them again after a short time.
