Had the Freelander TD4 2004 5dr a week today and beginning to wonder if we've done a wrongun!

The rear window won't behave, when we open the door the glass drops as it should but as soon as you let go of the handle the glass raises again, rather than staying in the lower position needed for shutting the door.

Never had one of these before but the Citreon Picasso, which the wife loved, just wasn't up to the job of pulling the newly aquired caravan.

Any help appreciated.

Try sending the window down the up from inside or send it down with the keyfob keep the button pressed down on second press sunds like window needs setting.

try to recalibrate the back window. disconnect the battery for five minutes, when you reconnect, it will open all the way.

turn the ignition on, raise the window using the dash switch, it will then bleep and it will then be calibrated. full instructions in owners manual, rave CD, even on this forum !

good luck

Possibly new sensor as the window should only go all the way up when door is fully closed.
