Can you do that? You might be able to swap the trailing shoe, but the leading shoe has the adjuster peg that means they can only be fitted on the appropriate side, doesn't it?
Good point Megaman, I don't know, thanks for pointing that out.
 
OK, so I got it back up on the axle stands this morning and the wheel isn't stuck anymore, rotates both ways. Press the brake, they stop. Release the brake, they go again.
Turned it on in first gear both back wheels going fine but the nearside still has a slight wobble. Also set off the carbon monoxide alarm that came with the new boiler so that's a nice new safety feature.
I am not sure if I should be happy or still worried.
Anyway only the clutch left to sort out, I might try to drive it out of the garage next week.
