Hi
Newbie member looking for advce / help
Discovery 2 td5 2003 - 3 amigos warning lights came on about a week or so after i noticed an intermittent knocking noise coming O/S/R wheel area. With
friend in the driving seat and myself stood by the rear wheel my friend drove the car forwards and backwards along the kerb. I could clearly hear a loud knock as the car pulled away forwards and backwards.Previous to this, passengers in the rear of the car have also commented on a knocking sound as the car pulls away from traffic lights. However, i no longer hear the knocking sound but i have the 3 amigo lights AND the parking brake light permanently on. Could the knocking and these lights be linked ?
If anyone lives in the weston super mare area of the uk and has a diagnostic tool and would like to assist me it would be most appreciated.
Any advice / comments most welcome
Thanks

Your knocking may be the Watts Linkage bushes or bearing.
If so, not connected to the Amigos

Thanks for the reply Biggeeeee.

I will get the watts linkage bushes / bearing checked out. If either the bushes or bearing need replacement is it a diy job or will i need specialist tools like a press ?

Its very much a DIY job, if you have access to a press, that said I changed the bushes and bearing using a large vice.
I would do it again but next time after removing the linkage would get a local garage to press the bushes in. They usually take a couple of quid.

There is a write up somewhere that describes the precedure
